About Frank Strazzulla


 

A native of Huntingon, New York, Frank grew up Long Island, and moved to California upon completion of high school in the 70’s.

Frank graduated from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, with a degree in communications/business. One of his summer jobs was with a small start-up company that was assembling what were called “micro computers” that fit on a desk-roughly at the same time when a couple of gentlemen named Jobs and Wozniak were doing the same thing in Cupertino 400 miles to the north!

Soon after graduation, Frank was working in the media business for a major West Coast media buying company. After a short stint in newspaper production and an introduction to ad sales with a small B2B publisher, Frank really learned the ropes of the advertising sales business during a 5 year stint with Western Media Sales, an independent media rep firm handling both B2B and consumer titles.

Frank launched Target Media Sales in 1989, and begin building the business by forming relationships with publishers in the environmental, healthcare, natural products, and public sector markets. Frank was also at the leading edge the emerging digital publishing revolution as a primary sales contact for one of the world’s first B2B media web sites — VerticalNet’s Water Online — which was the forerunner of virtually every B2B portal / news site from then on.

Frank believes that representing a short list of high-quality properties and working with satisfied content producers is the ideal business model for a successful independent media representative. He understands that investing in current technology is the best way to stay ahead of the curve. And he feels that the media business is the best business in the world — especially when working on great properties and working for great people!

Frank’s goal is to keep moving forward, adapting to changing market trends and new technologies, but sticking to the solid business principles that have built Target Media Sales and sustained it through the years.

Frank, his wife Flor, and 14 year old daughter Natalie live in Ladera Ranch, California. Frank loves college football, the Lakers, US Mens national soccer team, LA Galaxy, golfing, biking, computers, home repair, and watching his daughter grow. He also loves Target Media Sales — but family always comes first!
